Sancta Maria Students’ ISP Changemakers Projects Garner Global Recognition and Grants

Hyderabad, 31st January 2024: Sancta Maria International School students have achieved remarkable success in the International Schools Partnership (ISP) Changemakers program, securing grants for two impactful projects. The ISP Changemakers initiative equips students with tools to address social issues, fostering community involvement and shaping a positive future.

Courteous Conversations Crusade: Transforming Online Communication

The “Courteous Conversations Crusade” project focuses on creating a safer online environment by combating inappropriate language and promoting positive verbal behavior. Through a code of conduct, educational materials, AI-based content filters, and reporting mechanisms, the project aims to raise awareness and encourage respectful online communication. Collaborations with social media platforms and digital rights organizations will further enhance the initiative’s reach.

Eatwise!: Nurturing Healthy Food Practices for Children

The “Eatwise!” project, led by primary school students, targets the impact of unhealthy food choices on children’s well-being. It advocates for healthier food options through initiatives like questionnaires, nutritional information displays, art competitions, and community involvement. Partnerships with sibling schools and organizations like Organo-Et support the project’s holistic approach, fostering a healthier community and instilling values of responsibility and sustainability in the next generation.

Positive Impact and Student Reflections

A participating student, Vanika, shares her experience: “As a proud participant in the ISP Changemakers, I’ve discovered that the true potential for positive impact lies in our daily choices. Through the Eatwise! project, I’ve embraced the incredible power of change in every meal.”

Principal’s Perspective: Shaping Architects of Positive Change

Ms. Ruchira Ghosh, Principal of Sancta Maria International School, expresses pride in the students’ accomplishments: “Our students are shaping up to be the architects of positive change, proving that even small actions can yield monumental impacts.”
