2016 marked a pivotal year for Deepshikha. Not only was she a finalist in Mrs. India Homemaker, but she also began selling her designs on social media. This digital venture soon morphed into “DiiPANSHIKHA – BE EXCLUSIVE,” an apparel brand that celebrates individuality.
Her designs, a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, have graced both regional and national platforms. Her role as the official designer for events like Mr. and Miss Northeast 2017 showcases her unparalleled talent in the fashion industry.
But Deepshikha’s vision extended beyond fashion. In 2019, she founded her event company and NGO, emphasizing the ethos, ” DS DiiPANSHIKHA – WE ONLY HAVE WHAT WE GIVE.” As the Secretary of the Northeast Women Entrepreneur Society, she champions women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship.
Starting with a Master’s in English, Deepshikha’s educational background might seem unconventional for a fashion entrepreneur. Yet, her stenography skills and diploma in Fashion Designing laid the foundation for her future endeavors.
Her accolades, including the “Youth Icon of the Year 2021” in Guwahati and the national awards in 2023, are a reflection of her dedication and impact. She is felicitated as “Most Inspiring Women Icon and Fashion Entrepreneur 2023” presented by actress Amrita Rao in Bangalore and “Best Women Icon of the Year 2023” handed over by Padmashri Kangana Ranaut in Mumbai.
