Dussehra Shakti Takes Flight in AkinAnalytics’ Women Drone Pilot Course
DGCA Certified Drone Pilot Course | Dussehra special for women
Hyderabad, October 2026: Dussehra celebrates the victory of good over evil and honours the strength of the Goddess. Across Navaratri, that strength is remembered in many forms: Durga’s courage, Saraswati’s knowledge and Lakshmi’s abundance. This Dussehra, Hyderabad-based AkinAnalytics is carrying that spirit into technology by opening a special drone pilot training opportunity for women.
Founded in 2022 by Janaki Pulaparthi, AkinAnalytics is a women-led Indian deep-tech company working across drones, artificial intelligence and analytics. Janaki is a computer science engineering graduate and an alumna of the Indian School of Business. Janaki is immensely blessed by Goddess Saraswati, whose grace shines through her learning and work. She is also blessed with the courage and conviction to found AkinAnalytics and grow it into a women-led deep-tech company. Her journey and AkinAnalytics’ work have been featured in reputed publications, including Forbes India and CXO Magazine, where the company was profiled among India’s deep-tech innovators.
For Janaki, entrepreneurship and innovation matter most when they create practical value for people. AkinAnalytics therefore works not only on technology, but also on expanding access to skills and opportunities. That belief led the company to establish a DGCA-authorised Remote Pilot Training Organisation at SIET College in Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh: a place where women can learn drone operation and explore employment or entrepreneurship in the sector.
The Dussehra initiative offers a five-day course for ₹5,000, compared with the regular fee of ₹35,000. The offer is available until 30 October 2026, subject to batch availability, with up to 10 participants per batch. The course covers theory, simulation, drone disassembly and practical flying. Training is offered through AkinAnalytics’ authorised RPTO at SIET College, Amalapuram. Participants can enquire about Small and Medium category options.
AkinAnalytics’ work also connects training with the practical use of drones. Its NIKA2 Kisan drone is designed with multiple payload options to serve agricultural and allied operations throughout the year. It can be configured for crop spraying with a 16-litre tank or for spreading payloads of around 12 kilograms, including aquaculture feed. By serving different crops and sectors, these applications can create the potential for operators to generate revenue beyond a single seasonal use.
The company is also developing solutions for tea growers in the North-East, where plantations on uneven slopes can make field operations difficult. Terrain-following capability and fail-safe features on the NIKA2 can support spraying in such settings, subject to local operating permissions and conditions. Together, these use cases point to a broader model: drones can support services across agriculture, aquaculture and tea plantations, while trained pilots can build livelihoods around those services.
AkinAnalytics has been part of Stanford Seed Spark and has received support through MeitY’s SAMRIDH programme, with MeitY also investing in the startup through an equity stake. These partnerships reflect the company’s focus on building Indian technology and turning innovation into practical applications.
The initiative brings together the forms of Shakti that Dussehra celebrates: knowledge through training, courage to enter a technology-led field, and the possibility of greater economic independence. It reflects AkinAnalytics’ commitment to social impact alongside entrepreneurship and innovation—building technology in India while helping more women participate in using it.
