Naiyya Saggi grew up in Kolkata, West Bengal, in a household where both parents held government jobs. Discussions at home often centered on how to progress in life and contribute positively to society. After completing her schooling, Naiyya earned a scholarship to Harvard Business School, where she graduated in 2012.
Learning the Digital Business Landscape
During her time at Harvard, Naiyya delved into the digital business realm, recognizing its vast potential. Upon returning to India, she decided to launch her digital enterprise. She noticed that first-time mothers in India face numerous challenges and require special guidance during this period.
Recognizing this need, Naiyya founded BabyChakra in 2014, a digital platform aimed at easing the parenting journey for women. BabyChakra provides valuable information, enabling women to access support for physical, mental, and emotional issues encountered during motherhood. The platform allows direct consultations with doctors and experts, and offers a wealth of health-related content through blogs and articles. BabyChakra quickly grew into a successful business.
From BabyChakra to Good Glamm Group
Naiyya’s achievements with BabyChakra paved the way for further success. In 2021, Darpan Sanghvi, the founder of MyGlamm, approached Naiyya with a proposal to merge their ventures. Naiyya agreed, integrating BabyChakra’s content, products, and community with MyGlamm’s offerings. This collaboration resulted in the formation of the “Good Glamm Group,” with Naiyya becoming a co-founder. Within a year, the company achieved unicorn status.
Today, Naiyya Saggi is celebrated as one of India’s most successful businesswomen, and her journey continues to inspire many women across the nation.
