Mobile users can get big relief in Modi Government 3.0. Telecom companies have been instructed to start CNAP trials. After this, when CNAP starts, the name of the caller will appear on the display. In fact, whenever someone gets a call from an unknown number, the question that comes to his mind is ‘who is calling’, ‘who is this’. Is this an urgent call? Isn’t it Spam? All this confusion is going to go away now. TRAI had given recommendations to DOT on 23 February, which was accepted by DOT. Only after this, TRAI has instructed all the telecom companies to start CNAP trials.
What is CNAP?
CNAP means Calling Name Presentation. With its help, now every smartphone user will be able to get rid of spam calls. Users will already know about the recurring unknown calls. Let us tell you, the government wants to provide this facility to the people within 100 days of the formation of the new government. That means, with the new government, people will have this power, they will be able to know who is the person making the call.

Talking about how unknown numbers will be identified, there will be a process for this. With the help of Artificial Intelligence, people will be able to know what is the real name of the person calling. Suppose a friend of yours calls you, whose number is saved in your phone, yet while calling, the name of that person will be displayed which he had given while purchasing the SIM. That means you will get to know who that person is, whether you have to receive his call or not.
It will be easy to decide whether to answer the call or not
Besides, many such calls come from banks and companies and the government has also made arrangements for such service calls. The names of all such numbers which will be on their GST numbers will be displayed when the call is received. In such a situation, identification of that number will be easy. After this you can decide whether to answer or disconnect the call. With these two facilities, the government will be able to save people from fake calls and fraud. Now officially DOT has sent letters to all the telecom operators. In such a situation, the government and telecom companies will have full right to curb SPAM calls.
