Sanjay Mehta has been honoured with the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Youth Icon of Jharkhand Award.This honour was presented to him in the hands of Padma Shri Madhu Mansoori, Padma Shri Chhutni Devi, Executive Committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association and Jog Singh (a member of the Central Administrative Tribunal), at the country’s financial capital Mumbai.
On the 26th Day of November 2021, a felicitation ceremony was organized on the occasion of the completion of 21 years of Jharkhand at Prabodhankar Thackeray Auditorium in Borivali, Mumbai, under the banner of the Jharkhand Intellectual Forum.
In this honour ceremony, he received the honour in the presence of several eminent personalities. In this award ceremony, selected distinguished personalities of Jharkhand were for their incredible work in their respective fields.
Sanjay Mehta was awarded this honour for his incredible and remarkable work Amidst lockdown and his commendable contribution to the subjects of rural, tribal society.
Amidst Lockdown, Sanjay Mehta, with the efforts of his team, sent 292 workers from flight to home. The workers were the first-timer traveller via flight.These workers were from Mumbai, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa and several other parts of the country to their destination in different areas of Jharkhand, Bihar and Orissa.
Researching Panchayati Raj and rural tribal life.
Sanjay Mehta has completed LLB after completing PG in Mass Communication. Currently, he is researching Panchayati Raj and Rural Tribal Life. He has also been honoured by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti in the past. Sanjay Mehta is a resident of Barhi, Hazaribagh District of Jharkhand.
In this honorary ceremony, Bharat Ratna Ratan Tata Secretary Yogesh Joshi, Mumbai North MP Gopal Shetty, MLA Praveen Darekar, Jharkhand’s first Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra, Mongia TMT CMD Gunwant Singh Mongia Bollywood celebrity Punit Issar, IAS Rachit Raj along with several eminent administrative officials and industrialists were present. Sanjay Mehta has also been the youngest candidate in the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections.
